I have to admit, I love the smell of a brand new book. I meticulously turn each page of a new cookbook like I’m reading a novel. I’m intrigued by the photographs that draw me in. As I scroll down the list of ingredients, I imagine how they will all come together to create something delicious. The descriptive words entice me to cook each recipe in the book. Of course this is part of my job description as a blogger for The Grove. I’m supposed to find the best of everything related to olive oil, try them, test them, and share them with the readers. It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it!
As I explore the bookshelves to find the most beautiful cookbooks, I think of you. Will they like the recipes contained in this book? How does the book look and feel? Are the photographs as lovely as the dish itself? Is it user friendly so everyone can enjoy the recipes? And, most importantly, how does each recipe incorporate the use of olive oil to help us eat a healthier diet? If the book meets the requirements, it is purchased and read from first page to last. I choose a few recipes to share and hope that you treat yourself to the book itself. Not only will it bring you pleasure to have these lovely books on your shelves, but you can also feel confident in giving them as gifts, along with a bottle of fine quality extra-virgin olive oil, of course!
I have personally tried the recipes I share on this website and feel that they are a healthy and delicious way to eat and live. I also share recipes from family and friends who graciously offered to contribute some of their greatest recipes with all of you. I thank all of you for your support and love. Enjoy! Buon Appetito!
